Matsu
Matsu jewellery studio has been operating in Toronto since 1996 by sisters Jennifer and Lisa Shigetomi. Jennifer - the creative force behind the brand - studied fine arts at OCAD and then went on to pursue the goldsmith program at George Brown college in Toronto.
Jennifer’s design philosophy of cool elegance infused with an edgy flair, is showcased by the blending of clean lines, fluid shapes and a satin finish. The sculptural nature of her pieces have a softness - an almost liquid quality - that seems to contradict the inherent characteristics of metal. Jennifer’s collection of hand wrought jewellery is crafted in sterling silver, gold and platinum.
